What is 3D Printing?

What is 3D printing? Simply put, it is creating a three dimensional object by creating it in successive layers until the entire object is totally complete. There are many 3D printing methods that are being used. They include SLA (Stereo lithography), FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling), SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) and other methods such as SLM (Selective Laser Melting), EBM (Electron Beam Melting), and LOM (Laminated Object Manufacturing).

One of the most recently introduced 3D printers includes the Designjet 3D printer which perfectly suits your budget. Ideal for office use, these printers are perfect to create models when it comes to your office work. Any 3D print begins with a digital CAD (Computer Aided Design) file. The most commonly used base materials include thermoplastics, metal powder, ceramic powder, various types of alloy metals, eutectic metals, photopolymer, paper, foil, plastic film, titanium alloys, plaster and coloured plaster, etc.

The latest technology of the 3D printer allows you to have a model in your hand within hours and not days while you can save a considerable amount of money on each and every prototype.
